Efficient Sales Analytics for Szatmári Kft.
The dynamically growing and now market-leading Szatmári Kft. has implemented SAP NetWeaver BI to enhance the efficiency of its sales analysis. Szatmári Kft. has expanded into a company employing over 500 people, operating 27 specialty stores nationwide. With this growth came the challenge of managing an increasing volume of data, making the analysis of bulky, paper-based reports increasingly difficult. The introduction of SAP NetWeaver BI resolved this issue instantly, as the SAP data warehouse and the SAP Analyzer’s multidimensional analysis now allow data to be examined within a single system from multiple perspectives.
Sales data from the previously implemented SAP R/3 system, dating back to January 1, 2006, has been transferred to the SAP data warehouse and is continuously updated with new sales data. This comprehensive database allows trends and sales results to be analyzed across the entire data set. Decision-makers can now easily and quickly access business information. The analysis of 55,000 different products and various other data across multiple dimensions is facilitated by the so-called “InfoCube,” which organizes data by location, sales channels, product groups, items, and across the entire time dimension. Users can freely group and break down various metrics, including ordered, invoiced, and credited sales value, quantity, and cost price. The system enables monitoring of where and at which locations profit margins are shrinking, which product groups are seeing a decline in sales, or even how different suppliers’ products are replacing each other. All of this is accomplished by presenting unified information from a single data source in different views for employees across various departments.
Since implementing the system, Szatmári Kft. has been able to control sales processes much more quickly, making them simple and easy to oversee. The optimized and modern business processes have also contributed to strengthening the company’s market-leading position.
