10 Million Forint IT Investment at Pick

Pick Szeged Zrt. has implemented Oracle’s business intelligence solution to support its commercial activities. The new system enables the meat industry company to analyze and aggregate up-to-date data from its entire sales network, including product, customer, store, and site information, to assist in management decisions and support the sales team’s work.

István Susányi, the IT director of Pick, told MTI that due to the project’s success, other parts of the corporate group are also interested in implementing a similar system. He added that the initial investment was under 10 million forints, a sum significantly lower than the potential results achievable with the system’s help. The IT development not only drastically shortened the reporting cycle but also helped the company more accurately define its business processes.

The implementation of the business intelligence system and the training were carried out by Oracle’s partner, Mind System Consulting Kft., in cooperation with Pick Szeged Zrt.’s IT team. Pick Szeged Zrt. is a company group that covers the entire meat industry vertical. It is the largest dry goods capacity in Central Europe and holds about a 30 percent share of the Hungarian meat industry. Pick owns three meat industry brands: PICK, Délhús, and Ringa.
