Rábalux Ltd.: mySAP Retail Extension to Czech Subsidiary and Implementation of mySAP General Ledger Module
Rábalux Ltd. is one of Hungary’s leading wholesale companies in the production and distribution of lighting products, with a primary focus on residential lighting. The company began its SAP implementation project in May 2005. In the first phase, which went live in early July 2005, the wholesale processes were implemented at Rábalux Ltd. and its Slovak subsidiary using the mySAP Retail module. In the second half of last year, Mind System Ltd. extended the module to Rábalux’s Czech subsidiary, so by 2006, three companies (one Hungarian and two foreign) were managing their logistics processes in SAP using a shared database.
The second phase involved implementing SAP for administrative processes. Preparatory work began in the second half of December. The goal was to ensure that the 2006 financial events could be fully tracked in the SAP General Ledger (FI) and Controlling (CO) modules. After a month and a half of work, Rábalux Ltd. was able to extract the necessary data for the January 2006 tax return directly from the SAP system.
With the completion of the first and second phases of the project, the mySAP integrated enterprise management system now supports all the main processes at Rábalux Ltd.
