Hungarian Luxury Store Runs on SAP

Budapest – Il Bacio has entrusted the management of its loyalty program to SAP. The luxury store has been using the SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system since its opening in September.

Beyond traditional functions such as finance, accounting, and logistics, the IT solution also supports high-level customer service. Inventory information is instantly accessible via tablets used by sales staff. If a customer is looking for a luxury item in a different color, size, or model than the displayed sample, the sales associate can check if it is in stock, request it, or suggest a similar model. In the case of a request, warehouse staff receive online picking and movement instructions and deliver the desired item to the sales floor within 4-5 minutes. The ERP solution, which supports 50 users, is also integrated with the cash registers, providing immediate and accurate inventory information.

SAP software also supports Il Bacio’s loyalty program. The solution enables the registration of loyalty customers, categorization into different groups, and the establishment of discount and service conditions in line with business objectives.

Future plans for the luxury store include opening a restaurant, online sales, and integration with manufacturers’ logistics systems, all while maintaining the transparency provided by the ERP solution.

The tracking and secure monitoring of high-value store items are managed through RFID technology.

The implementation of SAP Business All-in-One was carried out by one of the partner companies, Mind System Kft., within 6 months.
